So sweet hubby is still mostly in bed.
The kids are mostly out of school.
My house is mostly a disastrous mess.
The loaner washer-dryer will be ours forever, so very soon (this evening, I suspect) I will start to put the laundry room back together again.
And once all the laundry room stuff is back in the laundry room, I'll start to clean up/out the kitchen and dining room.
And once the dining room table is cleared off, I will finally wash the table cloth from valentines day.
And then the rest of the bed sheets.
And then, of course, more clothes.
Peanut has her last (half) day of school on Tuesday. I am looking forward to the kids not waking up quite so early, although I think it will be hard to maintain early early bedtimes if they aren't waking up as early every morning.
Sweet hubby finally has a diagnosis for his mysterious and sporadic back pain -- a degenerated disc. We learned on Friday that he can "look forward" to unpredictable, intermittent, and recurring severe back pain for the rest of his life. I think we are both still digesting what, exactly, that will mean for us over time. In the short term, we had already canceled our trip to South America to visit his family, knowing that he wouldn't be able to tolerate the travel. I had a mental celebration congratulating myself for getting Peanut and Miss Middle involved in swim team, which will keep them busy for at least a little bit of the time we would have been on our trip (when I signed them up, we would have missed more than half of the meets because of the trip, which almost convinced me not to sign them up in the first place).
Needless to say, there hasn't been much "getting things done" going on around here: sweet hubby is in bed in my work-space most of the time, and I am exhausted from constantly being the on-duty parent/housekeeper.
But. I did get the quilt back from the long-arm quilter, and so I've started working on that. And the mending pile just seems to grow and grow, so item by item, I've been working on that....and next time, hopefully, I'll have an exciting list of things I have gotten done to share.
